Overview

Beat The Market ("we", "us", "our") operates beatthemarket.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. We keep this document plain and direct — no padding, no legalese.

By using this platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

What We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Email address. Collected when you create an account, either by signing in with Google or by registering with an email and password. This is the only personal data we require.
  • Payment data. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe provides us with a tokenised reference and your billing country only.
  • Usage data. We collect pseudonymous, aggregated data about how visitors interact with the site, such as pages visited, session duration, and referral source, so we can improve the product. We collect this using Google Analytics, configured so that it is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites. See the sections on data processors and cookies below for details.
  • Cookies. We use a small number of functional cookies and first party analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy section below for full details.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes only:

  • To send you essential service communications such as billing receipts, subscription confirmations, material product changes, and product updates relevant to your account.
  • To manage your subscription, process payments via Stripe, and handle cancellations and refunds.
  • To understand how visitors use the platform in aggregate, so we can improve it.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Data Processors

We use the following third-party services that may process your personal data on our behalf:

  • Supabase (user account creation, authentication, and product data storage). User email addresses, authentication tokens, and platform usage data are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
  • Google (identity provider for users who choose the "Continue with Google" login option). Google receives user identifiers during the OAuth authentication process. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Google in this context and is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Analytics (website analytics). We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the platform. It is configured for privacy: Google Signals is off, advertising personalisation is off, we do not set a unique identifier for you, and we send no personal data (such as your email or account id) in analytics events. In this configuration the data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared for behavioural advertising across other companies' sites. Google processes this analytics data on our behalf. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Stripe (payment processing). Stripe processes payment data when you subscribe. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Netlify (hosting). The platform is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server log data including IP addresses as part of its hosting infrastructure. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

Cookie Policy

We use the following cookies on beatthemarket.ai:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*). First party cookies set by Google Analytics on beatthemarket.ai to measure, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. They hold a randomly generated identifier that is pseudonymous and is not linked to your identity. They are not used for advertising and are not shared for behavioural advertising across other companies' sites. They expire up to 24 months after your most recent visit.
  • Session cookies — Required for the platform to function while you are logged in as a subscriber. These expire when you close your browser.

We do not set advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising. We use first party analytics (Google Analytics) as described above; it is configured so that it does not identify you and is not used for advertising. This is a change from our previous policy, and it applies only from the effective date at the top of this page forward. We did not run any analytics before that date, so there is no earlier data that this change affects. If you prefer not to be counted in our analytics, you can install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings. The allocation calculator on the strategy page does not send anything to analytics and stores nothing: your input stays on your screen and never leaves the page.

The lawful basis for processing your email address is your consent, given when you create an account. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us at support@beatthemarket.ai.

The lawful basis for processing pseudonymous usage data, including first party analytics data, is our legitimate interest in understanding how the platform is used and improving it. This data is not linked to your identity.
