Privacy Policy
Overview
Beat The Market ("we", "us", "our") operates beatthemarket.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. We keep this document plain and direct — no padding, no legalese.
By using this platform or joining the waitlist, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
What We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Email address. Collected when you join the waitlist or create a subscriber account. This is the only personal data we require.
- Payment data. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe provides us with a tokenised reference and your billing country only.
- Usage data. We may collect anonymised, aggregated data about how visitors interact with the site — pages visited, session duration, referral source — for the purpose of improving the product. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Cookies. We use a small number of functional cookies. See the Cookie Policy section below for full details.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes only:
- To send you waitlist updates and, once the platform is live, essential service communications such as billing receipts, subscription confirmations, and material product changes.
- To manage your subscription, process payments via Stripe, and handle cancellations and refunds.
- To understand how visitors use the platform in aggregate, so we can improve it.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-Party Data Processors
We use the following third-party services that may process your personal data on our behalf:
- Stripe (payment processing). Stripe processes payment data when you subscribe. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Brevo (waitlist and transactional email). Your email address is stored with Brevo for the purpose of sending you communications you have requested. Brevo's privacy policy is available at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
- Netlify (hosting). The platform is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server log data including IP addresses as part of its hosting infrastructure. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
Cookie Policy
We use the following cookies on beatthemarket.ai:
- btm_cookie_consent — Stores your cookie consent preference (accepted or declined). Expires after 12 months. This cookie is set after you interact with the cookie banner.
- Session cookies — Required for the platform to function while you are logged in as a subscriber. These expire when you close your browser.
We do not set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent before any analytics script is initialised.
